Hi, my name is Gary C. Daniels and I'm the publisher and editor-in-chief of LovePoemsUnlimited.com. I began writing poetry in first grade and by high school had won my state's highest honors: 1st Place in the Young Georgia Author's, Poetry division, for a poem entitled "Dream of Flight."
I then went on to college where I served for two years as editor-in-chief of my college's award-winning literary magazine. In my first year as editor-in-chief, the magazine once again placed first in national competition. In my second year the magazine not only placed first in national competition but was also awarded a perfect score of 1000 points out of 1000-- the first time in the magazine's history that it had done so.
As part of my duties as editor-in-chief, I organized yearly contests for poetry, prose, photography and art. I also continued entering my own poetry in competitions where I once again took first place for a poem entitled "Rain Tree" and second place for a poem entitled "Edge of Glass."
After graduating with an Associates of Art degree I transferred to a four year college, the Savannah College of Art & Design, to pursue my Bachelor's of Fine Art in video production. I combined my poetry skills with my new video production skills and created a series of "video poems" which would go on to win first place in the college's annual Video Awards.
After graduation, I continued my education by pursuing a Master's degree in Digital Motion Imaging where I focused on multimedia and interactive technologies. With these new skills I began my experiments in web publishing. This site is one of my first projects and, as such, seems very fitting. It seemed only natural to combine all my previous experience and skills into a project devoted to poetry.
