Last Gasp
In the shadows of my lonely heart
i can hear you talk
i want so much to run to you
but i can only walk.
Yet walking takes so very long
and i have no time to waste.
my heart is breaking
body shaking
from my veins your life-blood raced.
You left me lifeless, dead, unhappy
aimlessly approaching death
no path to follow or beaten trail
i gasp for one last breath.
The breath escapes my lonely lips
as did your kiss before
your heart of stone
has left me alone
you've locked your life's love-door.
A life of night with days of death
struggling to find my way
lost in this labyrinth of loneliness
to love's god i pray.
A prayer forever lasting
for your love fornever lasts
wanting you intensely
needing you intensely
breathing death (my last gasp).
